Ruby Lin (林心如, Lín Xīnrú) (b. January 27, 1976) is an actress from Taiwan. Performing in the top-rated Chinese TV series Pearl Princess, she has been able to attract many fans across the globe.
 
Born in Taipei, Ruby Lin embarked her filming career at an early age of seventeen as a part-time advertisement model. Upon high school graduation, partaking a deep interest in this field, she officially contracted with Jessie and Jones Entertainment Ltd. on her twentieth birthday.
 
In 1997, Ruby surged to the top as an emanating star with her beloved “ZiWei GeGe” role in series Pearl Princess I, II, appealing to mass audiences throughout China, Korea, and Southeast Asia. Immediately, her name has become a household item. Consequently, after starring in another Chinese blockbuster series Romance in the Rain, Ruby Lin once again was acclaimed in the honor of Top Ten Most Famous Asian Superstars for two years straight (2000 & 2001).
 
The daring biopic performance in her 2002 production Half Life Fate (re-adapted from Zhang Ailing’s novel Eighteen Springs) escalated Ruby Lin to a new, dynamic status. She captured the character Man Zhen’s 14 years of arduous life with dazzling awe, receiving countless accolades from all viewpoint as a true and sensational actress. This on-screen change transformed her into a grown woman and definitely built a fresh sense of sublimity within.
 
In the line of Ruby’s new productions such as Amor de Tarapaca, co-stars Korean actor Han Jae Suk, has led successfully as a forerunner in the popular trend of China-Korea collaborations. Recently, she’s involved in another original Korean screenplay Magic Touch of Fate co-starring with Taiwanese actor Alec Su and Korean top idol KangTa. This series was proclaimed by various media as the highest budgeted modern series ever made in Asian film industry, and the first of mainland series to adapt magic as its theme. With its debut in the upcoming February, it will certainly become another runaway success. A dramatic saga unfolds as it leaves an invincible legacy via the Asian Pop Culture.
