Liam Neeson (born 7 June, 1952) is a Northern Irish actor.
He was born
William John Neeson in Ballymena, County Antrim, and was a former youth boxing champion. He has made numerous films and a hit single, and has been called the world's most attractive man. High-profile appearances include the lead roles in
Schindler's List (for which he received an Oscar nomination), Rob Roy, Michael Collins and Star Wars: the Phantom Menace.
He was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor for
Schindler's List in 1993.
He is married to actress
Natasha Richardson, and father of two sons.
