James Alexandrou (born April 12, 1985) is a British actor.
His first major television role was that of Martin Fowler in the dramatic BBC One soap opera EastEnders. In 1996 after years of drama studying James auditioned for and subsequently got the role of Martin Fowler. James’s character Martin has had a number of turbulent years, going from bad to worse. Martin had been involved with drugs, lies, and family bickering, but nowadays he is more in touch with the people around him. The last few months have been good for Martin Fowler; he has married Sonya Jackson (played by Natalie Cassidy), and purchased a house (along with his mother Pauline, played by
Wendy Richard). As of December 2004 Martin is in the United States with Sonia recovering from a near fatal stabbing, at the hands of bunny boiler "Sarah".
