Conan O'Brien: Personal information
O'Brien was born in Brookline, Massachusetts, a suburb of Boston. He is the third of six children and one of four boys. A Roman Catholic, he was a lector at St. Ignatius Parish. His father, Dr. Thomas O'Brien, was a research physician at Brigham and Womens' Hospital and an associate professor at Harvard Medical School. His mother, Ruth Reardon O'Brien, is a former well-known lawyer at the Boston law firm of Ropes & Gray. His sister Jane is a comedy writer and producer. O'Brien is a distant cousin of
Denis Leary through marriage; contrary to popular belief, they are not actually related through a recent common ancestor.
On January 12, 2002, O'Brien married advertising executive Liza Powell in Seattle, Washington, in a nuptial Mass by Father Paul O'Brien (no relation). They have one daughter, Neve, born on October 14, 2003 in New York City.

Actor Daniel Radcliffe appeared on the "The Late Show with Conan O'Brien" this week to talk about his Broadway debut in "Equus." Dan also touched on getting lost in New York City, U.S. politics and the Olympics.

Daniel was on Conan O'Brien last night and gave a lovely interview. He discussed Equus, getting lost in NYC, the release date change for HBP, and the Olympics, or as he liked to call it "the USA versus China." The episode is already online at NBC.COM. Click on the Aug 25th button under episodes and he is Act Three. The vid may only be posted through today so look quickly. There are no past episodes available so I don't know how long they remain there. But as a lovely preview, here are some screencaps I did quick. On a happy note for him, one of his favorite bands were the musical entertainment, The Hold Steady. He had some great, WT? type expressions. My favorite was when he discussed MIchael Phelps being this "incredible creature." This one is my favorite.
