Great master bedroom for rent in spacious 2 bedroom, 2.5 bath apartment. Super close to BART and downtown Walnut Creek. Also next door to Iron Horse trail, basketball court and great park. Large room has private bathroom and balcony and a huge closet. In house laundry. Pool is right downstairs so there is easy access to that as well. Rent is $865 plus bills - utilities (gas, electric, water, garbage), cable with premium channels, high speed internet access and parking. Gated community for security. Deposit is one month of rent.
A little about me:
I am a 33 year old female professional and part time grad student. I have one very friendly cat. I am very mellow but still responsible and like to keep the place looking nice. I love music (The Smiths, Depeche Mode, Madonna, Fiona Apple...), movies (The Graduate, Boogie Nights, Breakfast Club, Almost Famous...), reading (Catcher in the Rye, 1984, Tales of the City...) and hanging out with friends and family, especially my nieces and nephews. I love to travel and go out but I also enjoy staying in for cheesy TV (i.e. Sex and the City, Gilmore Girls, Entourage, Bill Maher) or movie nights. These days I am usually too busy studying but that's my favorite way to unwind after a long day.
What I am looking for:
Someone who is cool with the above first and foremost. Female or gay male preferably, age 24-38 (both negotiable with right person). You should be very responsible about paying rent on time, have a stable income, decent credit, no pets, no overnight guests and unfortunately no furniture outside of your bedroom because the place is already packed with stuff. It's all nice though, I promise. I am looking for a drama free situation for the most part. I like to keep things pretty clear cut (i.e. separate everything) just for sanity but I also would love to get along with the person I am living with so it's not tense or weird.
Overall, it's a fabulous place - you'd have to see it to believe it. I am a nice, cool, easy going and fun-loving roommate and am looking for the same so if this sounds good to you - please get in touch with me so you can look at the place. The room will be vacant towards the end of July but I am willing to wait for the right roommate.
